JOB TITLE: Antenna Systems Engineer , Antenna Calibration, Amazon Leo As an Antenna Systems Engineer for Amazon Leo, you will join a multi-disciplinary team to design and deliver high-performance phased array antenna systems for a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Your daily responsibilities include designing and implementing phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms while performing performance analysis and design trade-off studies. You will conduct end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of baseband, RF, and antenna systems, alongside lab measurement and validation of subsystems. The role requires proficiency in Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust, along with Linux/Unix experience. You must utilize tools such as Matlab, SystemVue, ADS, or LabView and operate lab equipment like VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes to solve complex radio architecture and DSP problems.

What you'll do

Design and implement phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms.
Conduct performance analysis and design trade-off studies for phased array systems.
Perform end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of baseband, RF, and antenna systems.
Execute lab measurements and validation for antennas, phased array systems, and subsystems.
Simulate, measure, and fine-tune radio designs in coordination with antenna, modem, RF, and digital teams.

What we're looking for

Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, DSP, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas, and Electromagnetic theory.
2+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
Experience with Linux/Unix.
Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line-up analysis, and RF system design.
Experience with lab test equipment like VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes.
