As a Software Dev Engineer, Antenna Calibration, Amazon Leo, you will join the team responsible for the low Earth orbit satellite network. You will collaborate with systems architects, hardware engineering design teams, and FW/SW design teams to bring up and test systems combining FPGA, firmware, RF, and networking functions. Your daily responsibilities include characterizing antenna subsystems, managing complex data storage, and performing hardware test automation. You will also focus on firmware design, application development, and design automation for 2D and 3D structures while developing bring up tools and scripts for phased array systems. The role requires proficiency in C#, C++, Java, or Perl, along with Object Oriented Design, design patterns, and experience developing large-scale, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications within a satellite communications context.

What you'll do

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience for new and existing systems.
  • 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
  • 1+ years of experience developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
  • 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
  • Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
  • Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum due to export control laws.
