As an Antenna Systems Engineer, Antenna Calibration, Amazon Leo, you will join a multi-disciplinary team to develop high-performance phased array antenna systems for a low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Your daily responsibilities include designing and implementing phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms while performing trade-off studies and end-to-end modeling of baseband, RF, and antenna systems. You will conduct lab measurements to validate performance and collaborate with modem, RF, and digital teams to fine-tune radio designs. Required skills include proficiency in Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust, along with experience in Linux/Unix environments. You will utilize tools such as Matlab, SystemVue, ADS, LabView, CST, and HFSS while applying expertise in DSP, digital modulation, RF system design, and hardware testing using VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes.
Design and implement phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms.
Perform performance analysis and design trade-off studies for phased arrays.
Conduct end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of baseband, RF, and antenna systems.
Execute lab measurements to validate the performance of antennas and phased array subsystems.
Fine-tune radio designs in coordination with antenna, modem, RF, and digital teams.
Develop scripts and code using languages like Python, C++, or Matlab for system automation.
What we're looking for
Candidates must be U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, DSP, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas, and Electromagnetic theory.
Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
Experience with Linux/Unix systems.
Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line-up analysis, and RF system design.
Experience with lab test equipment including VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes.
Coding and scripting skills with demonstrated experience in Matlab, Python, or C++.
