Sr. Antenna Systems Engineer, Antenna Calibration will join a multi-disciplinary team to deliver advanced high-performance phased array antenna systems for a low Earth orbit satellite constellation providing broadband connectivity. The role involves designing and implementing phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms while performing trade-off studies and end-to-end modeling of baseband, RF, and antenna systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include lab measurement, validation of subsystems, and collaborating with modem and digital teams to fine-tune radio designs. Candidates must possess expertise in DSP techniques, digital modulation, and RF system design. Required technical skills include programming in Python, Matlab, or C++, proficiency with Linux/Unix systems, and experience using tools like SystemVue, ADS, LabView, or CST/HFSS. The role also requires hands-on experience with lab equipment such as VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes to solve complex antenna measurement problems.
Design and implement phased array calibration systems, signals, processing, and algorithms.
Perform performance analysis and design trade-off studies for phased array systems.
Conduct end-to-end modeling, simulation, and analysis of baseband, RF, and antenna systems.
Execute lab measurements to validate the performance of antennas and related subsystems.
Fine-tune radio designs in coordination with antenna, modem, RF, and digital teams.
Develop automation for large-scale infrastructure using modern programming languages like Python or C++.
Utilize simulation tools such as SystemVue, ADS, or LabView for system analysis.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
BS in Electrical Engineering with relevant coursework in digital communication theory, DSP, RF/Microwave Engineering, Antennas, and Electromagnetic theory.
7+ years of work experience in Aerospace, Semiconductor, or Consumer Electronics industries.
Experience programming in at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
Experience with Linux/Unix systems and CI/CD pipelines build processes.
Experience in DSP techniques, digital modulation, radio architecture, line-up analysis, and RF system design.
Experience with lab test equipment including VSAs, VSGs, VNAs, and Oscilloscopes.
