As an Americas - Frontier Industry Advisor - Insurance, you will join the Frontier Industry Advisory team to help strategic insurance customers navigate and execute AI-led transformation agendas. You will serve as a subject matter expert, engaging with senior decision makers to identify and nurture opportunities that connect business outcomes to cloud, data, AI, security, and partner capabilities. Your daily work involves moving clients beyond isolated pilots toward governed, scalable adoption in areas like underwriting, claims, distribution, and risk modeling. You will utilize core competencies in strategic planning, executive engagement, and industry-specific knowledge of insurance market dynamics. By leveraging technologies such as agentic workflows, copilots, automation, and data platforms, you will solve complex problems regarding operational resilience, regulatory trust, and fraud detection while developing the firm's frontier insurance practice through thought leadership and multi-horizon roadmap development.

What you'll do

  • Act as an insurance subject matter expert to identify and nurture transformational opportunities for senior executive decision-makers.
  • Develop multi-year strategic roadmaps that connect business outcomes to Microsoft’s cloud, data, AI, and security capabilities.
  • Lead high-level discussions to move customers from isolated AI pilots to scalable, enterprise-wide operational transformations.
  • Translate complex insurance challenges into measurable business cases involving metrics like loss ratios, policyholder engagement, and underwriting efficiency.
  • Identify and scale repeatable use cases such as automated claims processing, fraud detection, and actuarial modeling modernization.
  • Collaborate with internal account teams and the partner ecosystem to orchestrate and execute large-scale customer opportunities.
  • Serve as a thought leader by providing feedback on product direction and advocating for responsible AI practices in regulated environments.

What we're looking for

  • A Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of customer-facing experience in insurance, financial services, consulting, or enterprise technology.
  • A Master's degree and 5+ years of customer-facing experience in insurance, financial services, consulting, or enterprise technology.
  • 10+ years of experience in consultative sales, advisory, strategy, transformation, or industry leadership within the insurance industry.
  • Experience working with insurance business leaders on underwriting, claims, distribution, actuarial modeling, and risk management.
  • Ability to engage senior decision makers and translate strategic priorities into technology-enabled transformation opportunities.
  • Working knowledge of cloud, data, AI, automation, and security in regulated financial services environments.
  • Proven ability to lead complex programs across internal teams, partners, and senior customer stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with responsible AI, model governance, and regulatory considerations in the insurance industry.
