As an Aircraft Systems Engineer - Technical Specialist II, you will join the engineering team to guide the successful completion of major programs by resolving complex technical issues and developing standards for diverse activities. You will be responsible for improving systems engineering processes, establishing requirements management databases, and ensuring development assurance through periodic assessments. Your daily work involves creating milestones that align with program schedules, maintaining communication with system owners, and collaborating on new technologies to drive continuous improvement. The role requires expertise in Model Based Systems Engineering, Requirements Management, Validation, Verification, and Change Management. You will utilize tools such as IBM DOORS, Siemens Teamcenter, and MATLAB for system modeling. This position focuses on the technical development of aircraft systems while ensuring compliance with ARP4754A standards within the aerospace manufacturing domain.
Manage requirements, validation, verification, and change management processes in accordance with ARP4754A and DO-178 standards.
Implement Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles, methods, and tools within the organization.
Establish and maintain requirements management databases using tools like IBM DOORS or Siemens Teamcenter.
Develop standards, guides, and milestones for systems engineering processes to align with program schedules.
Conduct periodic assessments of aircraft systems against requirements management processes to ensure development assurance.
Participate in ARP4754A audits to verify compliance with aerospace safety and engineering standards.
Resolve complex engineering issues by balancing technical product quality, cost, and schedule constraints.
Develop new technologies and methods to drive continuous improvement of internal systems engineering processes.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical curriculum is required.
An advanced degree in engineering or a related curriculum is preferred.
10 years of experience in a specific technical discipline or 15 years of broad engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree is required.
Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles including Requirements Management, Validation, Verification, Change Management, Process Assurance, and Functional Integration is required.
Experience with ARP4754A and DO-178 is desired.
Experience with IBM DOORS or Siemens Teamcenter is preferred.
Familiarity with MATLAB and system modeling is desired.
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English language is required.
