AI Transformation Owner

What you'll do

• Develop and evolve the roadmap for AI-driven enablement initiatives based on field impact and feasibility.
• Identify, scope, and execute high-value AI use cases for deal support, prospecting, and content generation.
• Build relationships with field champions to drive peer-led adoption and track usage metrics.
• Design and lead the operational plan to turn AI pilots into scalable, repeatable processes.
• Establish governance standards for AI tool adoption, including data usage, risk review, and policy alignment.
• Translate field needs into technical requirements for product and engineering teams.
• Act as the primary advocate for AI tools to improve sales workflows like prospecting and proposal generation.

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience in enablement, sales operations, or a related GTM function with a track record of owning initiatives end-to-end.
• Direct experience evaluating, piloting, or deploying AI tools or solutions in a business context.
• Technical understanding of how AI works and where it adds value to business processes.
• Proven ability to work with product and engineering teams to translate field needs into technical requirements.
• Ability to operate with significant autonomy to define scope and solve ambiguous problems without detailed direction.
• Strong project management skills to manage multiple concurrent workstreams including roadmaps, use cases, and governance.
• Familiarity with field or sales enablement motions such as onboarding, tool adoption, content, and coaching.
• Ability to work in an all-remote, asynchronous environment based on GitLab's transparency and collaboration values.
