AI Transformation Group Manager

What you'll do

• Develop and own the multi-year AI transformation strategy and roadmap for the Master and Reference Data organization.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 70 engineers and managers to foster an AI-first engineering culture.
• Integrate AI coding assistants, agentic workflows, and automated testing into the daily software development lifecycle.
• Oversee the design and operation of large-scale data platforms using Scala, Python, and other relevant technologies.
• Apply LLMs and AI services to automate entity matching, anomaly detection, and natural language data discovery.
• Establish technical standards, guardrails, and evaluation criteria for safe and rapid AI adoption across teams.
• Manage end-to-end delivery accountability by tracking metrics for velocity, quality, reliability, and ROI.
• Communicate complex technical strategies and AI initiatives to non-technical senior stakeholders and executive leadership.

What we're looking for

• Must have 10+ years of experience in technology, including leading software engineering organizations and other people-leaders.
• Must have demonstrated experience leading an AI-first or AI-enablement transformation of an engineering organization.
• Must possess a strong command of applied AI for building software and data products, including LLMs, RAG, and agentic workflows.
• Must have a deep data engineering background in master, reference, or enterprise data domains.
• Must be proficient in a Scala-based stack (Scala, Spark) and fluent in Python.
• Must have experience designing, operating, and scaling distributed data platforms with high standards for reliability and security.
• Experience in financial services or other large, complex, regulated environments is preferred.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
