  • Contribute to all aspects of the agile development life cycle including design, development, documentation, testing and operations.
  • As a software development engineer on a team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the definition, vision, design, road map and development of product features from beginning to end.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
  • Extensive programming experience with Kotlin, Java, and Android platform technologies and APIs.
  • 2+ years of experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent years of experience.
  • Solid knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures and algorithm.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Solution-oriented attitude and ability to solve tough problems in a collaborative, cross-functional, and fast-paced environment.

Department Overview

This opportunity is part of the Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations team (GTIO), where our mission is to deliver modern and relevant technology that supports the way McDonald’s works. This role will collaborate closely with cybersecurity guides, infrastructure leaders, market leaders, Global Technology teams, and 3rd party vendors to provide efficient operation of our technology services and ServiceNow platform. This role is responsible for leading the ServiceNow platform, the Corporate Service Desk, and related ITSM processes such as Service Catalog Management and Knowledge Management ensuring that our services are meeting the needs of our partners. We provide best-in-class foundational technology products and services including Global Networking, Cloud, End User Computing, and IT Service Management. It’s our goal to always provide an engaging, relevant, and simple experience for our customers.

The Service Management Office (SMO) Service Desk & ServiceNow Platform Director reports to the Senior Director, Service Management Office and is responsible for ensuring team expectations and partner collaboration targets are met or exceeded. This person will develop a collaborative working relationship with cybersecurity, infrastructure, and other stakeholders across the organization. Demonstrated success in handling the ServiceNow platform and working with handled service providers to support the corporate service desk.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technology leader to help shape the transformation of infrastructure and operations products and services to the entire McDonalds environment.

Duties

  • Leadership: Lead and inspire the Corporate Service Desk and ServiceNow technical team to deliver exceptional results. Identify new opportunities to leverage data, events, tools, and integrations to gain deeper insights into our IT services. Lead development of automation to enable early intervention in emerging issues and auto-healing where possible.
  • Strategy: Unify the multi-functional needs of McDonald’s Global Technology partners using the ServiceNow platform.
  • Platform Ownership: Supervise the management of McDonald’s ITSM platform used for corporate service desk, incident, problem, change, etc.
  • Partner Engagement: Build and maintain strong working relationships with senior leadership and multi-functional partners to understand their technology roadmaps and translate needs into scalable observability capabilities.
  • Incident Response: When vital, assist with service desk incident response efforts to ensure the highest level of customer service
  • Vendor Management: Handle relationships with key technology vendors.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of strategy and operations aligned to Global Technology (GT) and larger McDonald’s organizational objectives.
  • Establish and maintain a governance framework to enable visibility into the management of our platform and provided services
  • Identify process inefficiencies and recommend improvements aligned with ITIL and maturing enterprise support models
  • Manage and contribute to the expansion of internal knowledge bases and end-user training documentation
  • Monitor and analyze performance metrics and KPIs to identify trends and areas for improvement to ensure business outcomes around productivity, customer satisfaction, and quality of our services
  • Mentor, manage, and motivate, both directly and indirectly, a high-performing team of professionals and set clear priorities to achieve team goals

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years of technical product management or relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience
  • Experience working on technical teams that lead an enterprise SaaS product and/or service desk teams and/or a suite of products
  • Experience communicating with leadership and setting expectations for enterprise platforms
  • A solid great teammate with a willingness to learn, engage, and build relationships with both internal colleagues and external partners
  • Self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet project/global program requirements
  • Understanding of ITSM industry standards and norms
  • Ability to conduct research into issues, evaluate solutions and translate findings into plans
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to drive operational improvement discussions with managed service providers and internal partners
  • Confirmed analytical and quantitative skills; ability to use hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, develop project cases, and measure success
  • Strong in problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data, and industry trends

The Lead Analyst - Vulnerability Management is a key member of the Vulnerability Management team and works with internal and external groups globally to identify and drive remediation of security risks. Accountability & Responsibilities

  • Establish strategic relationships with key McDonald’s stakeholders ensuring vulnerability and threat management principles are incorporated into their processes, applications, and products across the enterprise to develop a culture of security.

The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer III role is part of the Cloud Infrastructure and Operations team in Global Technology Infrastructure & Operations. The role reports to the Director of Enterprise DevSecOps Platform and is responsible for supporting, migrating, automation and optimization of software development and deployment process specifically for Google Cloud while maturing the Enterprise DevSecOps program. The Cloud DevSecOps Engineer III will work closely with software developers, cloud architects, operations engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure that the software delivery process is efficient, secure, and scalable. You will support the Corporate, Cloud Security, Cloud Operations, Digital, Data, Restaurant, and Market application and product teams by efficiently and optimally delivering DevOps standards and services.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in the management, design, and solutioning of software development and deployment process.
  • Provide direction and guidance to vendors partnering on DevSecOps tools standardization and engineering support.
  • Build reusable pipeline templates for automated deployment of cloud infrastructure and code.
  • Research, analyze, design, develop and support high-quality automation workflows inside and outside the cloud platform that are appropriate for business and technology strategies.
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure and tools that support the software development and deployment process.
  • Automate the software development and deployment process.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot the software delivery process.
  • Work with software developers and operations engineers to improve the software delivery process.
  • Stay up to date on the latest DevSecOps practices and technologies.
  • Drive proof of concepts and conduct technical feasibility studies for business requirements.
  • Strive to provide internal and external customers with excellent customer service and world-class service.
  • Effectively communicate project health, risks, and issues to the program partners, sponsors, and management teams.
  • Resolve most conflicts between timeline, budget, and scope independently but intuitively raise complex or consequential issues to senior management.
  • Work well in an agile environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field or relevant experience.
  • 7+ years of Information Technology experience for a large technology company, preferably in a platform team.
  • 6+ years hands-on Cloud DevOps pipeline for automating, building, and deploying microservice applications, APIs, and non-container artifacts.
  • 5+ years working with Cloud technologies with good knowledge of IaaS and PaaS offerings in AWS & GCP.
  • 5+ years GitHub, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Helm Charts, Harness and Artifactory or similar DevOps CI/CD tools.
  • 3+ years of application development using agile methodology.
  • Experience with observability tools like Datadog, New Relic and open source (O11y) observability ecosystem (Prometheus, Grafana, Jaeger)
  • Hands-on knowledge of an Infrastructure-as-Code and associated technologies (e.g., repos, pipelines, Terraform, etc.)
  • Advanced knowledge of "AWS" Platform preferably 3+ years AWS/Kubernetes experience or container-based technology.
  • It is good to have experience in working on Code Quality SAST and DAST tools like SonarQube/Sonar Cloud, Veracode, Checkmarx, and Snyk.
  • Experience developing scripts or automating tasks using languages such as Bash, PowerShell, Python, Perl, Ruby, etc.
  • Self-starter, able to come up with solutions to problems and complete those solutions while coordinating with other teams.
  • Knowledge of foundational cloud security principles
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and partnership skills
  • Any AWS/GCP certification.

Department Overview

As an IAM Engineer III on our Global Identity and Access Management team, you will report to the Manager leading Directory engineering and operations. In this role you will be partnering with other IAM and technical teams to build secure, user-centric identity and access experiences that delight our employees, franchisees, partners, and restaurant staff. This is an exciting opportunity to continue evolving and enhancing the Global Identity and Access Management platform at the world’s largest restaurant company!

Duties

  • Provide technical assistance and administration in the areas of identity and access management in alignment with our policies, standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with other product and technical teams to help define and execute the product roadmaps. Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Evaluate existing systems and recommend improvements using cutting-edge features, security trends, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, engineers, and project managers, to deliver successful Active Directory and Entra implementations.
  • Prepare and interpret technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, system configurations, and operational procedures. Generate reports on system health, performance, and security.
  • Perform various functions and duties in support of audit, compliance deliverables, Directory security, remediation, and recovery.
  • Lead complex or high severity troubleshooting for incident and problem resolutions with other infrastructure teams. Develop technical engineering solutions that solve business challenges and improve processes.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years professional experience as an IAM Engineer or similar role, implementing and operating at an enterprise-level in a multi-forest and multi-cloud environment.
  • Extensive technical experience with Active Directory, Microsoft Entra (formerly Azure Active Directory), and other Microsoft identity and access related technologies.
  • Advanced PowerShell scripting experience and capabilities. Extensive knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs), Organizational Unit management, and Security Groups.
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and best practices, including risk management, access controls, and secure coding. Extensive experience and advanced knowledge in implementing Windows security concepts, policies, and least–privilege design principles.
  • Experience with Microsoft or 3rd party management and monitoring solutions such as SMART, SCOM, SCCM, Log Analytics, Semperis, and BloodHound Enterprise (would be a plus).
  • Deep analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess business requirements and translate them into practical solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with and help influence cross-functional teams and stakeholders at various organizational levels.
