Senior Security Automation Engineer

What you'll do

• Design and maintain automation systems including SOAR playbooks, custom services, and agentic AI workflows for security operations.
• Engineer enterprise-grade APIs and connectors to provide machine-speed enrichment and correlation across the security stack.
• Develop and verify automated response actions for containment and identity-related incidents during live security events.
• Build and deploy multi-step autonomous agentic AI systems using context engineering and orchestration.
• Integrate automation with internal tools such as identity providers, EDR platforms, and ticketing systems via REST APIs.
• Create and maintain policy-enforcement automation to ensure consistent execution of access and control decisions.
• Triage production issues for automation systems and track metrics for reliability and coverage.
• Contribute to Detection-as-Code standards and document all automation logic for team-wide ownership.

What we're looking for

• 7+ years of experience in security engineering, software engineering, or security automation with a track record of shipping production-grade code.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating enterprise-scale APIs, services, or orchestration systems.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining SOAR playbooks using Python to create custom actions and connectors.
• Advanced proficiency in Python or a comparable language for production automation development.
• Demonstrated experience building or deploying agentic AI systems including prompt engineering and multi-step autonomous workflows.
• Practical understanding of incident response, security investigation workflows, and integrating tools via REST APIs.
• Experience with identity/access systems (e.g., Okta, Entra ID) for containment actions (preferred).
• Proficiency in more than one scripting or development language such as PowerShell, Bash, or Go (preferred).
