We are a team of software engineers developing web-based tools and native applications for Apple teams. Our work empowers Apple engineers and researchers to build the products that inspire and delight millions every day.
We're looking for a Site Reliability Engineer who thinks like a systems engineer first and an operator second. You won't just keep things running — you'll shape how our platform evolves. Our team operates 50+ services across Kubernetes and AWS, handles sensitive health and research data, and is ramping up many architectural shifts: new service-to-service auth patterns, event-driven pipelines, and a move from on-prem to cloud-native infrastructure. We need someone who gets excited about that kind of work, can reason about distributed systems at the design level, and is a strong enough communicator to bring the rest of the team along.

Description

The Human Engineering Software team builds tools used across Apple for user studies, research participant management, health data collection, and privacy-preserving analytics. Our infrastructure spans Django backends, Kubernetes clusters (self-hosted and AWS), PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch and a growing set of internal service integrations.
This role is engineering-forward SRE. You'll spend as much time designing systems as operating them. You'll work closely with our full-stack engineers to improve how services communicate, how we observe production behavior, and how we ship changes safely. You'll have a seat at the architecture table — we want you proposing solutions, not just implementing them.

Responsibilities

  • Platform & Reliability Engineering - Own the reliability of our Kubernetes-hosted services across AWS and self-hosted clusters: deployments, scaling, capacity planning, certificate management, and secrets rotation. Design and implement SLO-driven observability: define meaningful SLIs, build dashboards that answer "is the system healthy?" not just "is the pod running?" Drive incident response and blameless postmortems
  • Distributed Systems & Architecture - Partner with the architecture team on system design: service-to-service authentication (OIDC, gateway auth), event-driven messaging (Kafka), API gateway patterns. Design the infrastructure layer to make architecture proposals real in production. Evaluate and recommend new tools, patterns, and platforms and write code when it's the right tool, whether that's a deployment operator, a health check service, or a data pipeline component. This isn't a YAML-only role
  • Engineering Enablement - Make the team efficient; own CI/CD pipelines and GitOps practices, owning tests to verify or production tools are functioning correctly, build self-service automation, evolve our observability and security posture, and communicate infrastructure decisions clearly across technical and non-technical stakeholders

Minimum Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 5+ years of experience in distributed systems
  • Deep experience with Kubernetes in production — cluster operations, networking, storage, troubleshooting
  • Strong proficiency designing and operating services in AWS (EC2, EKS, RDS, S3, IAM, VPC)
  • Hands-on infrastructure-as-code experience (Terraform, Helm, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency in at least one backend language (Python, Go, or similar) — you can write production services, not just scripts
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline design and GitOps workflows
  • Strong understanding of networking fundamentals: DNS, load balancing, TLS, firewall rules, service discovery
  • Excellent communication skills. You can explain a complex system to a room of engineers who didn't build it
  • Experience building internal automation or self-service tooling (Slack bots, CLI tools, workflow orchestration) that reduced manual operational work

Preferred Qualifications

  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience, with 7+ years of experience in distributed systems
  • Experience with event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems)
  • Experience with service mesh or API gateway patterns (Istio, Envoy, Kong, or similar)
  • Familiarity with Django/Python web applications and their operational characteristics (Celery, Gunicorn, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with observability tooling beyond basic monitoring: distributed tracing, SLO frameworks, structured logging
  • Background working with sensitive data (health data, PII) and associated compliance requirements
  • Experience leading incident response and building on-call culture
  • Contributions to internal or open-source infrastructure tooling

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $181,100 and $318,400, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Description

The Special Projects team at Apple is developing novel experiences powered by state-of-the-art agentic vision-language models that incorporate visual context into conversational interaction. We are looking for a Machine Learning Engineer to help us build, fine-tune, and rigorously evaluate these systems. A successful candidate has hands-on experience with vision-language models, knows how to translate ambiguous product requirements into measurable evaluation criteria, and is excited to work at the intersection of multimodal modeling and agentic AI.

Responsibilities

  • Build and evaluate vision-language agents that perceive real-world scenes and incorporate that context into conversational models
  • Curate, annotate, and build multimodal datasets to support model training and evaluation
  • Develop automated evaluation pipelines including LLM-as-judge frameworks, human evaluation protocols, and domain-specific benchmarks
  • Fine-tune Large Language Models (LLMs) and Visual-Language Models (VLMs) to improve performance for specific use cases
  • Work closely with other ML Researchers to define evaluation criteria and methodology to systematically evaluate foundation models
  • Design controlled experiments to measure model capabilities, identify failure modes, and drive iterative model improvements
  • Conduct robust statistical analysis to identify model deficiencies and failure modes and performance gaps.

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Machine Learning
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience building and evaluating generative AI or multimodal models
  • Experience working with vision-language models or multimodal systems
  • Proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (Pytorch or Tensorflow)

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, or other STEM field
  • Prior industry internship or research experience applying ML to product use cases
  • Experience with video understanding, temporal reasoning, or activity recognition
  • Familiarity with agentic system design including tool use, grounding, or perceive-act loops
  • Experience building or working with large-scale multimodal data and annotation pipelines
  • Proficiency in training, fine-tuning, and evaluation of foundation models and frameworks

Pay & Benefits

As a Technical Architect and part of our Expert Services organization at Braze, you will serve as a highly technical resource, responsible for delivering outcome-based technical services and bespoke technical solutions across all stages of the customer lifecycle. As a Technical Architect, you will be a key driving force of technical and product expertise, working alongside Sales, Customer Success Managers, Technical Account Managers, Delivery Managers, Partners, Product and Engineering, and Technical Support. About the Role

The Cloudflare Associate Solution Engineering Program is a 12-month rotational experience designed to launch your career in pre-sales engineering. You'll combine technical depth, customer problem-solving, and business acumen to make Cloudflare's technology accessible and valuable for customers across Asia-Pacific.

You'll complete three 4-month rotations across our regional customer bases (Greater China, ANZ, and ASEAN), working alongside experienced Solution Engineers to deliver technical demonstrations, workshops, and proof-of-concepts. In a typical week, you will:

  • Shadow customer calls and technical deep-dives with Enterprise and Strategic accounts

About the Role:

The Senior OIC and OPA Developer is the definitive technical expert responsible for developing, governing, and standardizing all data movement and orchestration involving the Oracle Fusion ERP Cloud environment. This role designs the most complex and critical integration patterns using Oracle Integration Cloud and Oracle Process Automation ensuring technical solutions adhere to Enterprise Architecture and security standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complex Integration Design: Architect and develop the most challenging, cross-functional, and real-time integration patterns for the Oracle Fusion program using Oracle Integration Cloud.

About the Team

The Cloudflare Vectorize team builds our managed, global vector database designed to power the next generation of AI-driven applications. Vectorize enables developers to store and query high-dimensional vector embeddings, providing the "long-term memory" required for Large Language Models (LLMs) and semantic search. Integrated directly into the Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI ecosystem, Vectorize allows developers to build full-stack AI applications—from generating embeddings to performing similarity searches—entirely on Cloudflare’s global network.

Vectorize is a critical component of our Developer Platform and features:

  • High-Performance Vector Search: Optimized for low-latency similarity search using Approximate Nearest Neighbor (ANN) algorithms (like HNSW).
  • Metadata Filtering: Support for storing and filtering on metadata alongside vectors to provide precise, context-aware query results.
  • Global Distribution: Built on top of Cloudflare’s distributed infrastructure to ensure that AI applications remain fast and responsive regardless of where the user is located.

What you'll do

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to join the Vectorize team. You will lead a group of engineers who are defining how stateful AI applications are built at the edge. You will play a pivotal role in scaling Vectorize to support billions of vectors and hundreds of thousands of indexes while maintaining the performance and reliability Cloudflare is known for.

You will work closely with product and engineering teams to implement cutting-edge indexing strategies and improve the developer experience for RAG (Retrieval Augmented Generation) workflows. You bring a passion for making complex AI infrastructure accessible to every developer. You thrive in a fast-paced environment where you are building the foundations of the AI era. Most importantly, you have a track record of leading technical teams with a focus on high-quality execution and engineer career development.

  • Strong communication skills – Ability to build a shared understanding of complex topics like vector quantization, indexing trade-offs, and distributed state.

The Opportunity

Looking to transition from the classroom to the high-stakes world of legal contract review and negotiation? This role is dedicated to our Global Procurement Contracts Team, focusing on the legal framework that governs our most critical vendor relationships. You will gain direct experience in commercial contracting, risk mitigation, security and data privacy.

The Mission

You will lead a high-priority "Contract Health" initiative. Under the guidance of our Legal and Procurement teams, you will:

  • Audit top-tier vendors to ensure compliance with our latest MSA (Master Service Agreement), DPA (Data Processing Addendum), and DSA (Data Security Agreement).
  • Identify gaps in our governing agreements and launch formal workflows to remediate risk.
  • Participate in negotiation strategy sessions for new and renewing vendors.

The AI Innovation Project

Legal tech is evolving rapidly. You will explore how AI can accelerate the legal review process. This may include:

  • Using AI tools to perform "redline" comparisons across hundreds of legacy documents.
  • Developing a "Contract Playbook" within Gemini to help non-legal stakeholders understand standard vs. non-standard clauses.
  • Building an automated tracking dashboard for document execution status.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review complex legal documents for risk and compliance alignment.
  • Initiate outreach and manage communications with vendor legal teams.
  • Provide regular status updates to the Procurement and Legal leadership.
  • Final Capstone: Present a "State of the Contract Landscape" report to the Procurement team, highlighting risks mitigated and AI-driven efficiencies gained.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited JD or LLM program (or equivalent graduate law program).
  • Strong interest in Commercial Law, Privacy, or Tech Transactions.
  • Exceptional attention to detail—you’re the person who finds the typo in the 40th footnote.
  • Ability to translate complex legal jargon into actionable business advice.

Suggestions for Your "Internal Manual"

To make this program "industry-leading," I recommend including these elements in the guide you give them on Day 1:
