Senior Manager, Analytics and Data Science

What you'll do

• Manage, mentor, and lead a team of data analysts and scientists while ensuring high-quality work and balanced resourcing.
• Develop and maintain deep knowledge of products and business performance to inform data-driven decision-making.
• Act as a trusted advisor to product, marketing, and engineering teams to guide roadmaps with actionable insights.
• Partner with executive leadership to shape the analytics and experimentation strategy for Firefly products.
• Identify risks and proactively prioritize opportunities to drive growth across the customer lifecycle.
• Define key metrics and lead monitoring efforts to assess product health and performance.
• Build predictive models, dashboards, and advanced deep dives to mine insights from large datasets.
• Improve reporting tools and infrastructure to empower data-driven decision-making across various workstreams.

What we're looking for

• BS, MS, or PhD in an analytical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Over 4 years of experience leading analytics and data science groups, including mentoring senior individual contributors.
• 5+ years of proficiency in Python and SQL.
• Strong proficiency in querying and manipulating large datasets using SQL-like languages on cloud platforms like Databricks, Spark-SQL, and Airflow.
• Strong fundamentals in statistics and skills in data visualizations.
• Experience with A/B testing and sampling methods.
• Good communication and relationship building skills.
• Experience with cloud environments (Git, Jupyter, Python, AWS, Azure) and data warehousing techniques (preferred).
