The Role
We’re looking for a Principal (Staff) Machine Learning Engineer to help shape the
future of Autodesk’s B2C eCommerce platform. This role involves full-lifecycle
ownership—from ideation and modeling to deployment and optimization.
You’ll collaborate across disciplines to develop intelligent systems that personalize user
experiences and deliver measurable impact. If you’re passionate about solving
ambiguous business problems and building scalable ML systems—even if you don’t
meet every qualification—we encourage you to apply.
What You’ll Do
Guide the design, training, and deployment of ML models for real-time
personalization across Autodesk’s eCommerce ecosystem.
Collaborate with Product Managers and Experience Designers to define what and
how personalization should be implemented.
Translate business pain points into scalable ML or analytics solutions.
Work closely with the MLOps team to productionize models and ensure real-time
inference performance.
Develop experimentation frameworks and run A/B tests to measure impact (e.g.,
CTR, bounce rate, add-to-cart rate).

Build models that scale across product categories, including third-party
integrations for Autodesk’s evolving marketplace.
Promote a data-informed culture by contributing to initiatives in segmentation,
recommendation systems, forecasting, churn prediction, and product analytics.
Mentor and support team members, fostering a collaborative and inclusive
environment.

Preferred Experience
Background in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field (we
also welcome applicants from non-traditional DS backgrounds)
7+ years of hands-on related experience. We value experience with machine
learning infrastructure, model deployment, optimization and with software
design, architecture, and product development.
Knowledge of data mining, information retrieval, and statistical modeling.
Exposure to A/B testing and experimental design.
Experience applying statistical and probabilistic methods to solve real-world
problems; familiarity with financial modeling is a plus.
Ability to connect data insights to business outcomes.
Experience in eCommerce, marketing technology, go-to-market systems, or other
high-scale data environments (e.g., fintech, social platforms).
Bonus Experience (Not Required)
Advanced degree preferred but not required. Equivalent industry experience is
highly valued.
Familiarity with cloud ML platforms (AWS, Azure) and MLOps practices.
Experience with personalization systems and real-time inference pipelines.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $166,600 and $269,500. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.

As the Senior Enterprise Systems - Technical Adoption Specialist, you will provide top-level technical expertise to our customers. Position Overview

As a Machine Learning Engineering Manager on the Model Delivery team within Autodesk Research, you will lead production ML engineering across deployment, monitoring, evaluation, reliability, and operational excellence for ML-powered features. This is a hands-on leadership role, combining people leadership with hands-on technical work. You’ll help deliver and operate ML systems that include 2D/3D generative models and other AI capabilities used across Autodesk products.

You will report to the Head of Model Delivery within Autodesk Research. This role is based in proximity to our North American Autodesk offices, including San Francisco, Portland, Boston, Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. We support both in-person, hybrid, and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow a team of ML engineers focused on production ML systems
• Lead model improvements in response to production issues, product feedback, and new research or platform advancements
• Lead production release processes for ML services, including release planning, CI/CD, staged rollouts, and rollback procedures
• Build and operate observability and on-call practices for ML features, including monitoring, alerting, dashboards, incident response, and post-incident reviews
• Develop and maintain scalable evaluation frameworks, datasets, and automated regression tests to prevent quality regressions
• Lead reliability, performance, and cost improvements for inference and serving, including capacity planning and meeting SLAs (latency, throughput, availability)
• Partner with researchers, product, and platform teams to define quality bars and production readiness, including Trusted AI requirements
• Establish and evolve production standards and governance across ML features (testing, evaluation methodology, release gates, model versioning and lineage)
• Partner with platform and product teams to integrate ML capabilities into products

Minimum Qualifications

• BS/MS in CS/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience building and operating software systems, including production ML systems
• People leadership experience, or strong technical leadership experience (mentoring, setting direction, driving delivery)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and production observability (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
• Experience with CI/CD, reproducible deployments, and operating services in production
• Strong written communication and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Owned an end-to-end production ML service (releases, monitoring, incidents, and improvements)
• Experience with model evaluation, quality metrics, and continuous testing in CI/production
• Experience optimizing inference latency and cost
• Experience deploying large or foundation models in production (performance, scaling, and efficiency tradeoffs)
• Experience with 3D data (geometry/CAD/BIM) and/or generative AI systems is a plus”

Position Overview

We are growing our Cloud Management team within Autodesk’s Enterprise IT organization. This team designs, provisions, and operates enterprise multi-cloud platforms that enable secure, scalable, and compliant infrastructure for Autodesk’s global engineering teams.

At the center of this effort is Infrastructure Software Automation Platform, Autodesk’s cloud infrastructure automation system that provisions and manages cloud environments across AWS, Azure, and GCP. The platform enables self-service infrastructure, enforces governance and security controls, and supports critical workloads across Autodesk’s product ecosystem.

As a Senior Software Development Engineer, you will design, build, and operate cloud-native services that power infrastructure automation, observability, and operational workflows across multiple cloud providers. You will work closely with senior engineers and architects to deliver reliable, scalable systems using modern cloud services, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipelines.

In accordance with U.S. government contracting and FedRAMP compliance obligations, this role requires U.S. citizenship or U.S. lawful permanent residency. Employment is contingent upon meeting all applicable government security and eligibility requirements.

• Design and develop serverless and containerized services using Go and Python

As an AI Scientist Manager at Autodesk Research, you will be doing fundamental and applied research that will help our customers imagine, design, and make a better world. We are seeking an AI Scientist Manager to lead our post-training and model alignment efforts. Technical Leadership & Hands-On Research

• Lead and contribute directly to post-training pipelines, including:

• Domain-specific post-training and specialization for the AECO, Manufacturing, and Media & Entertainment industries

You will partner closely with researchers, evaluation engineers, and product teams to translate evaluation requirements into production quality gates, reduce operational risk, and continuously improve model performance in real customer environments.

You will report to a manager in the Model Delivery team within Autodesk Research. This role is based in proximity to our North American west coast offices, including San Francisco, Portland, and Vancouver. We support both in-person, hybrid, and remote work.

Responsibilities

• Test and Deploy Production Models: Automate model testing and validation. Implement and operate CI/CD pipelines to enable safe, repeatable deployments and rollbacks.
• Operate Inference Services: Provision and manage backend resources for inference (compute, containers, scaling), and tune performance, reliability, and cost in production.

We are seeking a Principal Software Engineer – Backend to join Autodesk’s Enterprise Data Management (EDM) organization within the COO-GET Engineering group. As a Senior Trust/Security Engineer, you will own and evolve the telemetry, automation, and reporting systems that measure, improve, and communicate the trust, security, and compliance posture of our products and platforms. You will partner with DevOps, Engineering, Architecture, Security, Legal, and Privacy teams to translate trust and security requirements into scalable technical controls, measurable signals, and actionable insights for both engineering teams and leadership. This is a hands-on engineering role for someone who thrives in cross-functional environments, combines security and compliance expertise with strong software, automation, and data engineering skills, and is comfortable turning complex requirements into durable systems, measurable controls, and executive-ready reporting.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of trust, security, and compliance telemetry systems, including automated pipelines that aggregate signals from multiple sources into centralized reporting and analytics platforms.
• Develop and maintain automation and tooling to continuously assess compliance with internal standards, security policies, and external frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, internal trust commitments).

• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data quality, pipeline reliability, automation failures, and reporting accuracy across trust and security systems.
• Produce well-documented, secure, and maintainable code for automation, integrations, and reporting tools, following established engineering best practices.
• Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, translating complex trust and security data into clear narratives, actionable insights, and recommendations that inform decision-making.
• Mentor junior engineers and analysts in trust, security automation, and metrics development, fostering a culture of high-quality delivery and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Security, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of industry experience in security engineering, trust engineering, platform engineering, security/compliance automation, or data/automation roles supporting security or compliance programs.
• Strong understanding of security principles, risk management, and compliance concepts, including how they apply at organizational scale.
• Experience implementing or operationalizing controls aligned to common frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, or similar.
• Experience producing or automating audit evidence, control validation, and security/compliance reporting at scale.

Position Overview

This is a deeply technical role for an engineer who understands how model capability, system design, and infrastructure efficiency interact. You will help researchers train and iterate faster, improve utilization of compute resources, scale distributed training pipelines, and optimize inference systems for latency, throughput, reliability, and cost. You will also help strengthen the surrounding ML platform capabilities required for reproducibility, observability, lineage, governance, and production readiness. This role is central to Autodesk’s broader foundation model strategy, which depends on scaling shared models trained on structured Design and Make data and turning them into reusable capabilities across products and workflows.

• Architect, build, and optimize large-scale training systems for foundation models, including pre-training, fine-tuning, and post-training workflows

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $165,000 and $296,450. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
