Warhead Engineer Co-op

What you'll do

• Design warheads and complex ordnance systems for transition from prototype to production.
• Create high-fidelity prototype parts to assess effectiveness during range testing.
• Manage end-to-end arena and system testing of munitions products.
• Plan projects, design experiments, and manage safety protocols for munitions testing.
• Capture test video and compile data from ground and flight tests.
• Analyze results from collected test data.
• Assemble and disassemble explosive test articles and precision targets.

What we're looking for

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship in winter 2027.
• Experience creating complex mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX (preferred).
• Test experience including data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination (preferred).
• Experience preparing engineering documentation such as specifications, test procedures, technical reports, and drawings (preferred).
• Experience with munitions testing and explosive operations or handling munitions (preferred).
