Test & Evaluation Engineer Co-op

What you'll do

• Plan and execute the testing of hardware and software components across various systems.
• Conduct subsystem, ground, and flight tests at private and government-owned test ranges.
• Track test issues and observations while working cross-functionally to establish resolution priorities.
• Analyze test results with engineering teams to identify performance trends and recommend improvements.
• Perform initial investigation into technical issues and develop processes for improvement.
• Ensure the safe operation of all testing efforts in accordance with established procedures.
• Support various flight operations, including tower calibration and surrogate integrations.

What we're looking for

• Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Must be returning to school at the end of the internship to continue academic studies for at least one quarter or semester.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export-controlled information or facilities.
• Ability to complete an in-person 16 to 24-week internship in winter 2027.
• Experience and working knowledge of engineering concepts, principles, codes, and theory (preferred).
• Experience and knowledge of the National Airspace System and UAS operating rules (preferred).
• Prior experience with software code/script building using languages such as Go, Java, C++, Python, or JavaScript (preferred).
• Familiarity with Pixhawk flight controllers, Ardupilot, PX4, and CAD modeling (preferred).
