Senior Warhead Design Engineer

What you'll do

• Design warheads and complex ordnance systems for transition from prototype to production.
• Create high-fidelity prototype parts to evaluate effectiveness during range testing.
• Manage end-to-end munitions testing including project planning, design of experiments, and safety protocols.
• Capture test video and compile data from ground and flight tests to analyze results.
• Assemble and disassemble explosive test articles and precision targets.
• Prepare engineering documentation including specifications, test procedures, technical reports, and drawings.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical, aerospace, or another engineering discipline.
• 2 to 5+ years of experience as an individual contributing engineer focused on naval ordnance/munitions systems.
• Experience creating complex mechanical designs using CAD tools such as SolidWorks or NX.
• Experience with data acquisition, data analysis, and project coordination for testing.
• Ability to prepare engineering documentation including specifications, test procedures, technical reports, and drawings.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
• Preferred experience in explosive operations, handling munitions, or working with DoD Weapons Safety Boards.
• Preferred experience designing and scaling production of mechanical components at volume.
