VP, Software Product Management, Mobile Handset

What you'll do

• Define and manage handset software requirements for major OEMs like Samsung, Oppo, and Xiaomi.
• Establish and lead the long-term software strategy for mobile handsets with a focus on AI.
• Oversee software baselining across various chipsets and SKUs to ensure quality of release.
• Drive platform expansion by integrating external technologies and ecosystem partners into the Qualcomm platform.
• Evaluate build, buy, and acquire decisions to support future software vision and roadmap development.
• Lead the development of scalable software architectures and influence cross-functional engineering teams.
• Identify and engage with top customers to establish Qualcomm as an innovative industry leader.
• Translate strategic vision into actionable business goals while managing financial and legal implications.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Computer/Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• Fifteen years of Software Product Management or related technical work experience.
• Six years of leadership experience.
• Four years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.
• Two years of experience working with operating budgets and/or project financials.
• Two years of experience negotiating 3rd party business agreements.
• Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science or Engineering, or a related technical field of study (preferred).
• Twenty or more years of related professional experience in technology and software product management (preferred).
