Software Engineering Manager, Mobile Products

What you'll do

• Manage a team of senior engineers building for React Native mobile and Next.js web platforms.
• Lead the transition to an AI-native workflow for planning, defining, building, reviewing, and testing code.
• Shape product roadmaps by providing data-driven recommendations on what features are worth building.
• Drive the development of scalable systems that compound over time rather than one-off features.
• Maintain a high performance bar by delivering hard feedback and coaching team members.
• Balance technical accuracy for financial products with speed to gather rapid customer feedback.
• Communicate team strategy, roadmap rationale, and progress clearly to internal stakeholders and partners.
• Advocate for and implement new operating models when existing processes need to change.

What we're looking for

• Must have at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, including hands-on individual contributor experience.
• Must have at least 2 years of experience managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading an AI-native product engineering team is required.
• Must possess technical credibility on a modern web or mobile product stack to discuss architecture and tradeoffs.
• Must demonstrate strong product and business instincts to inform roadmap decisions and trade-offs.
• Proven track record of hiring engineers, delivering hard feedback, and managing to a high performance bar.
• Experience with React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Apollo is preferred.
• Experience in consumer fintech or building systems based on customer data is preferred.
