Software Engineering Manager, Mobile Products

What you'll do

• Own the outcomes of a customer-facing team building React Native mobile and Next.js web experiences.
• Shape the product roadmap by providing recommendations on what to build based on data and AI capabilities.
• Lead the team in building compounding systems rather than a growing list of one-off features.
• Manage an AI-native workflow by overseeing how the team plans, builds, reviews, and tests code.
• Maintain a high performance bar by delivering hard feedback and developing the skills of your engineers.
• Make high-quality trade-offs between polish and speed to gather fast customer feedback.
• Communicate the team's strategy, roadmap, and rationale clearly to peer teams and leadership.
• Drive organizational change by making cases for new operating models and ensuring team adoption.

What we're looking for

• 8+ years in software engineering, including hands-on individual contributor experience.
• 2+ years managing engineering teams.
• Experience leading an AI-native product engineering team.
• Technical credibility on a modern web or mobile product stack to engage engineers on architecture and tradeoffs.
• Experience managing software engineers with accountability for team outcomes and business impact.
• Strong product and business instincts with experience in data, experimentation, and measurement.
• Experience hiring engineers and holding a high performance bar for the team.
• Experience in consumer fintech (preferred); experience with React Native, Next.js, TypeScript, GraphQL, and Apollo (preferred).
