Unified Communications Engineer

What you'll do

• Ensure the stability and integrity of in-house voice, video, and wireless telecom services.
• Install, monitor, and maintain all telecom hardware and software.
• Support and optimize communication links and telecom infrastructure.
• Analyze and resolve telecom hardware and software problems in a timely manner.
• Configure and support Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose issues in large-scale voice implementations.
• Manage telecom systems, protocols, and standards including SIP, H.323, and Ethernet.

What we're looking for

• An Associate degree in Computer Science or a related field is required.
• A High School Diploma or equivalent plus 3 years of experience in information technology may be accepted in lieu of an Associate degree.
• 1 year of experience configuring and supporting Cisco Unified Communications or Avaya Infrastructure is preferred.
• 1 year of experience troubleshooting to isolate and diagnose issues in large-scale voice implementations is preferred.
• 1 year of experience with Telecom or Network systems, protocols, and standards such as Ethernet, LAN, WAN, SIP, H.323, G.711, and T.38 is preferred.
• Download speeds must be at least 20 Mb or higher (100 Mb or higher is preferred).
• Upload speeds must be at least 6 Mb or higher (10 Mb or higher is preferred).
• Latency/Ping must be under 100 ms (under 60 ms is preferred).
