Tool & Gauge Technician The Tool & Gauge Technician serves as the site's asset management lead for tooling and calibrated gauges within the production team. Required skills include experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing environments, proficiency with Microsoft Office, and the ability to interpret engineering specifications. Preferred technical skills include Python scripting for data management and familiarity with Jira and Confluence workflows.

What you'll do

Manage the site's tool crib to provide technicians with necessary tools and consumables.
Track all calibrated instruments in the calibration registry to ensure accurate location and ownership data.
Maintain objective evidence for AS9100 quality system compliance and manufacturing readiness levels.
Support DCMA surveillance activities by providing audit-ready tooling and asset records.
Enforce tool control procedures including broken tool replacement, tagging, engraving, and ownership handoff.
Manage the procurement of tools and parts by reviewing engineering specifications before purchase.
Coordinate with third-party calibration vendors to maintain accurate inventory systems.

What we're looking for

Ability to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret Clearance.
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training in tool & die, machining, quality, or calibration (preferred).
6 to 12 months of relevant tool control or tool crib experience.
Experience running a tool crib or tool control program in an aerospace or defense manufacturing environment, ideally under AS9100 and DCMA oversight.
Demonstrated experience tracking calibrated instruments in a registry/asset management system with third-party vendor coordination.
Strong purchasing and vendor management experience using multiple procurement systems like Oracle.
Ability to read engineering specifications such as bolt/fastener specs and drawings to verify part requests.
Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office; knowledge of AS9100, Jira/Confluence, or Python (preferred).
