Automation & Torque Tooling Technician

What you'll do

• Physically deploy, mount, wire, and integrate smart torque tooling and controllers across production lines.
• Program and configure Atlas Copco Power Focus and MicroTorque systems to specific engineering requirements.
• Diagnose production floor issues and troubleshoot tightening failures in assembly line equipment.
• Analyze tightening curves and graphs to identify anomalies like cross-threading or joint relaxation.
• Optimize tightening programs (Psets) based on technical data and performance analysis.
• Maintain tooling health, calibration records, and documentation to minimize production downtime.
• Train manufacturing technicians and operators on the safe handling of smart tools.

What we're looking for

• Must have 2–5+ years of experience in aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics manufacturing with precision assembly systems.
• Must have hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Atlas Copco Power Focus controllers and MicroTorque systems.
• Must have experience setting up workstations, routing cables, and physically deploying assembly line hardware.
• Must possess strong troubleshooting skills to analyze tightening traces and identify failure modes.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Must be a U.S. Person due to required access to export controlled information or facilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in tight spaces to install hardware.
• Preferred experience includes using ToolsTalk 2 software and familiarity with torque-tension relationships.
