Technology Service Specialist, Assistant Vice President

What you'll do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues to improve platform stability, performance, and availability.
• Review and validate application and platform changes to identify risks and ensure appropriate controls.
• Develop and enhance monitoring, alerting, and observability capabilities to maximize platform uptime.
• Lead incident, problem, and post-mortem activities to drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Ensure critical data feeds and messaging services meet SLAs while maintaining high availability of business-critical functions.
• Coordinate disaster recovery and manage escalations across global teams.
• Use Python, UNIX/Linux Shell, and Perl scripting to automate operational tasks and reduce toil.

What we're looking for

• Several years of experience supporting and administering Managed File Transfer (MFT) platforms, Informatica PowerCenter, and cloud-based environments.
• Strong knowledge of enterprise file transfer ecosystems, network architecture, and secure protocols including FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, and Connect:Direct.
• Hands-on experience with MFT solutions such as Axway and bTrade, and monitoring tools including Geneos, Netcool, and Tivoli.
• Strong analytical skills with scripting expertise in Python, UNIX/Linux Shell, and Perl for automation and operational support.
• Extensive IT support experience within financial services with a proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
• Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and optimize workflows while ensuring responsible and ethical use of data.
• Good understanding of Oracle database architecture, including defining maintenance jobs and running queries to analyze data (preferred).
• Good understanding of Unix and Network Infrastructure to troubleshoot system issues like high load, network latency, and firewall rules (preferred).
