What you'll do

  • Develop, implement, and maintain new or revised application systems and programs to meet specific business needs.
  • Translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-level software designs using industry best practices.
  • Troubleshoot time-sensitive production issues by performing diagnostics and planning short-term and long-term resolutions.
  • Write unit and integration tests for all code while ensuring a security-by-design approach to development.
  • Configure and adapt continuous delivery systems to optimize the build and deployment pipeline.
  • Provide technical mentoring, coaching, and constructive feedback during code reviews for junior team members.
  • Create comprehensive documentation including data flows, component guides, and troubleshooting manuals.
  • Ensure all software development adheres to engineering standards, architecture blueprints, and firm compliance policies.

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related engineering.
  • Master's degree (preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Java 17+, Core Java, J2EE, and Spring/Spring Boot Restful Services.
  • Substantial experience in Core Java, Java EE, and ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS4, and HTML5.
  • Expertise in Relational Databases (DB2/Oracle), SQL, PL/SQL, and ORM technologies like JPA2 or Hibernate.
  • Proficiency with AI tools such as Claude, Copilot, and Devin.
  • Experience with Docker, RedHat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Maven, and Sonar.
  • Experience in event-driven architecture using Kafka and MQ.
