As a Production Support Specialist / Service Operations Specialist - Assistant Vice President, you will join the Corporate Bank Production team to support mission-critical payment processing and foreign exchange platforms. You will manage high-value, low-value, bulk, instant, and cheque payments in a 24x7 global environment. Your daily responsibilities include hands-on troubleshooting, incident and problem management following ITIL standards, and driving continuous service improvement through automation and enhanced observability. To succeed, you must possess extensive experience in production environments, specifically with UNIX/Linux systems, SQL or PL/SQL for database investigation, and monitoring tools like Geneos or New Relic. The role requires a site reliability engineering mindset to resolve technical debt and improve platform stability. Preferred skills include experience with Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes, Kafka, microservices, and knowledge of SWIFT message types or Cash Management systems.
Provide hands-on production support for mission-critical payment processing and foreign exchange applications.
Resolve technical issues within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Operating Level Agreements (OLAs).
Lead incident and problem management processes in accordance with ITIL standards.
Analyze application and infrastructure flows to identify and remediate performance, resiliency, and technical debt.
Automate manual tasks and improve platform reliability through enhanced observability and site reliability engineering practices.
Review production changes throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and participate in business continuity testing.
Maintain support documentation and manage knowledge-sharing standards for the global team.
Monitor system events via a 24x7 workbench and coordinate vendor activities and team performance.
What we're looking for
Extensive experience supporting business-critical applications in controlled production environments, preferably within financial services or global service operations.
Hands-on experience with UNIX/Linux and scripting or automation to troubleshoot issues and improve service reliability.
Strong database experience including hands-on use of SQL or PL/SQL to investigate and troubleshoot production issues.
Experience with production monitoring and observability tools such as Geneos, New Relic, or comparable platforms.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity while ensuring responsible and ethical use of data.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Kubernetes, Kafka, and microservices (preferred).
Experience building automation solutions using scripting, programming, or DevOps tools in a production environment (preferred).
