The Technology Program Management Director joins the engineering organization to lead strategic program development, roadmap planning, and execution. This role involves partnering with engineering leadership to translate high-level strategies into structured programs, identifying cross-team dependencies, and establishing governance mechanisms for complex initiatives. The individual will manage a portfolio of technical projects, ensuring alignment across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Security, and Infrastructure teams while facilitating executive communication regarding risks and outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing multi-quarter roadmaps, managing resource considerations, and improving organizational effectiveness through data-driven metrics. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical fluency in software engineering, infrastructure, platform reliability, and cloud systems. They must demonstrate expertise in Agile development, DevOps, and modern software delivery practices to solve complex problems within a large-scale technology environment while navigating ambiguity to drive measurable results across the organization.
Develop and maintain multi-quarter strategic roadmaps aligned with engineering organization priorities.

Lead complex, cross-functional technology programs from initial definition through execution and adoption.
Establish program governance and operating mechanisms to provide transparency while minimizing process overhead.

Develop repeatable frameworks and automated processes to improve organizational planning and execution efficiency.
Manage the strategic portfolio by tracking progress against commitments and identifying areas requiring leadership intervention.
What we're looking for
Significant experience leading complex technical programs within large-scale software engineering, infrastructure, platform, reliability, or technology organizations.
Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic technology roadmaps across multiple teams or functions.
Strong understanding of modern software engineering and technology delivery practices.
Proven ability to translate ambiguous strategic goals into structured programs and actionable plans.
Experience managing large, cross-functional initiatives with significant dependencies and organizational complexity.
Exceptional stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
Ability to influence senior leaders and technical teams without direct authority.
Experience working with SRE, cloud infrastructure, or developer platforms (preferred); familiarity with Agile, DevOps, and product operating models (preferred).
