JOB TITLE: Technical Support Engineer As a Technical Support Engineer, you will join a versatile team of engineers and operational experts to maintain a network of simulators and modeling capabilities for military units. You will perform day-to-day operational checks on local air and ground simulation systems, conduct preventative maintenance, and support training in live, virtual, and constructive environments. Your responsibilities include building and installing new simulators, developing configuration management processes, and troubleshooting Tier 1-3 issues. You will utilize Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems to manage complex networked distributed systems. The role requires creating technical documentation and collaborating with DoD personnel to ensure system compliance. Key technical competencies include networking, security+ certification, and experience with firewalls, ACAS, STIGs, and programs like MACE and VRSG.

What you'll do

Perform day-to-day operational checks for local and outstation air and ground simulation systems.
Execute preventative maintenance tasks on simulators and associated hardware systems.
Operate virtual environments to facilitate large-scale training exercises for military personnel.
Troubleshoot Tier 1-3 issues involving complex networked distributed systems and operating systems.
Build and install new simulators, networks, and hardware components.
Develop configuration management processes to ensure geographically separated systems maintain training compliance.
Identify and track system deficiencies to improve overall functionality and performance.
Create technical documentation to support system operations and maintenance.

What we're looking for

Experience working on complex networked distributed systems.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience supporting and collaborating with DoD operational personnel.
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues with basic network and operating systems.
Ability to create technical documentation.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
HS diploma or GED.
TS/SCI clearance.
