As a Technical Support Engineer, you will join a versatile team of engineers and operational experts providing training for military personnel within a live, virtual, and constructive environment. The role requires proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems, as well as experience with complex networked distributed systems. You will also create technical documentation and manage system functionality to support rehearsal capabilities for various units. Preferred skills include programming, scripting, firewalls, ACAS, STIGs, and knowledge of MACE or VRSG programs.

What you'll do

Perform daily operational checks and preventative maintenance on air and ground simulation systems.
Provide technical support and training to military personnel in live, virtual, and constructive environments.
Troubleshoot Tier 1-3 issues involving network infrastructure and operating systems.
Build and install new simulators and networks for large-scale training exercises.
Develop configuration management processes to ensure geographically separated systems remain compliant with training requirements.
Identify and track system deficiencies to improve overall functionality and performance.
Create technical documentation to support system operations and maintenance.

What we're looking for

High school diploma or GED.
Experience working on complex networked distributed systems.
Experience with Microsoft Windows and Linux operating systems.
Experience supporting and collaborating with DoD operational personnel.
Ability to troubleshoot network and operating system issues and create technical documentation.
Ability to travel up to 25% of the time.
Experience supporting distributed mission operations training (preferred).
TS/SCI clearance.
