As a Technical Solutions Engineer at Stripe, you will join a dedicated team that bridges the gap between developers and our platform, ensuring seamless integration of Stripe’s services into diverse applications. Your day-to-day responsibilities include providing technical support through various channels like email, chat platforms, and community forums, helping developers resolve complex issues and build robust integrations. You’ll also contribute to internal and external documentation, develop tools that enhance the developer experience, and collaborate with engineering teams to improve Stripe’s products based on user feedback. This role requires expertise in multiple programming languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Go, NodeJS, ReactJS, Swift, and Kotlin, along with strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ideal candidates have at least four years of full-stack development experience and a passion for teaching and mentoring developers.
Communicate with developers to aid them in building applications against Stripe’s infrastructure.
Resolve complex integration issues through various support channels like email and real-time chat software.
Develop and maintain documentation, examples, and code snippets for Stripe products.
Identify and address points of friction for developers and collaborate on product improvements.
Create and manage internal support tooling to enhance the efficiency of TSE and Support teams.
Serve as a developer advocate by providing training and real-time assistance on product integrations.
What we're looking for
At least 4 years of full-stack software development experience.
Proven ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Strong coding skills in multiple programming languages (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.).
Experience building web or mobile applications delivering high-quality user experiences.
Comfortable working independently with a great deal of autonomy.
Degree in Computer Science, Software/Computer Engineering, or related field preferred.
