As a Technical Project Manager II - Data/Controls within the Commercial & Investment Bank Chief Data Office, you will join a team focused on ensuring data quality and controls meet established standards across various applications and platforms. You will manage complex projects by providing subject matter expertise for data-related technology control procedures, including retention, destruction, and quality. Your daily work involves coordinating control testing, monitoring activities, and validating lineage evidence while managing resources and budgets. You will utilize enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to accelerate project planning, risk synthesis, and reporting while ensuring strict adherence to data sensitivity requirements. Key skills include experience in technical program management, knowledge of data risk management, and familiarity with SDLC, CI/CD, and security fundamentals. You will collaborate with architects and owners to resolve issues related to data lineage and control effectiveness.
Provide subject matter expertise for data-related technology control procedures like retention, quality, and authority.
Implement enterprise-authorized AI capabilities to manage risk and support regulatory outcomes within the data lineage landscape.
Support application and information owners in producing evidence for data-related technology control procedures.
Coordinate control testing and ongoing monitoring activities while tracking results, exceptions, and remediation progress.
Maintain a knowledge base of best practices, standards, and training materials for data control procedures.
Identify patterns in data to drive process improvements and propose new features for lineage and control tooling.
Partner with architects and technologists to validate the completeness and accuracy of data lineage evidence.
Utilize AI-assisted practices for project governance artifacts while ensuring human review and alignment with delivery standards.
What we're looking for
2+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management leading complex technology projects.
Demonstrated experience using enterprise-authorized AI capabilities for project workflows with strong validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
Ability to review and validate AI-assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use while following data handling expectations.
Working knowledge of data risk management, data lineage, and data quality controls.
Understanding of controls testing and monitoring concepts including evidence collection and issue tracking.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills to work with business and technology teams.
Good understanding of modern delivery and engineering practices such as SDLC, CI/CD, and security fundamentals.
Familiarity with data management frameworks (DAMA, TOGAF), financial regulations (GDPR, BCBS), or Financial Services experience (preferred).
