Technical Product Owner – Deal Pricing Platform
The Technical Product Owner – Deal Pricing Platform manages the roadmap, backlog, and strategic direction for a specialized pricing platform. This role involves translating business objectives into scalable technical solutions by collaborating with architects, engineers, data teams, and stakeholders. The individual will oversee the delivery of custom-built application enhancements, integrations, databases, APIs, and analytics capabilities while driving Agile product leadership through prioritization and planning. Key responsibilities include identifying opportunities for AI and automation to improve SDLC efficiency and managing platform modernization initiatives. Required skills include expertise in modern application architectures, cloud platforms, and DevOps practices. The role requires a deep understanding of pricing, finance, and product economics within the context of wholesale pharmaceutical distribution or healthcare distribution. Candidates must be able to navigate complex technical designs while ensuring successful business outcomes for deal management and contract pricing systems.
Own and drive the Deal Pricing Platform roadmap, backlog, and strategic product direction.
Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions in collaboration with architects, engineers, and data teams.
Serve as the primary liaison between business and technology teams to ensure alignment across stakeholders.
Lead the delivery of custom-built application enhancements, integrations, databases, APIs, and analytics capabilities.
Drive Agile product leadership including prioritization, planning, product acceptance, and value realization.
Identify and implement AI and automation opportunities to improve SDLC efficiency and business outcomes.
Support solution architecture, testing, releases, production support, and platform modernization initiatives.
Monitor platform performance and remove delivery roadblocks to ensure successful business outcomes.
What we're looking for
Degree or equivalent education is required.
Must have 10+ years of overall IT experience in roles such as Product Ownership, Product Management, Solution Delivery, or Software Engineering leadership.
Must have 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager for custom-built enterprise applications.
Proven experience delivering complex enterprise technology solutions in Agile environments and leading software development from concept to deployment.
Strong technical acumen including experience with modern architectures, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud platforms, and the full SDLC.
Demonstrated experience leveraging AI, Generative AI, or intelligent automation to improve software delivery and business processes.
Experience within wholesale pharmaceutical distribution, healthcare distribution, drug pricing, contract pricing, or rebate management (preferred).
Authorized to work in the U.S, now or in the future, without the support from McKesson.
