Product Owner

What you'll do

• Maintain a prioritized, transparent backlog of work items aligned with the product strategy.
• Refine backlog items with R&D teams to ensure clear acceptance criteria and a common understanding of tasks.
• Translate high-level roadmap items into actionable user stories and technical enablers.
• Lead strategic conversations with end-users to gather feedback and represent the voice of the customer.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage dependencies and mitigate risks to team productivity.
• Conduct regular iteration reviews and sprint reviews to showcase development progress to stakeholders.
• Manage escalated support cases to completion by coordinating with the development team.
• Collaborate with the Product Manager to execute the product roadmap and adjust the overall strategy.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a minimum 8 years of related experience.
• Master’s Degree in Engineering with a minimum 6 years of related experience.
• Proven ability to own, prioritize, and groom a product backlog while translating roadmap items into actionable User Stories and Enablers.
• Experience breaking down complex technical requirements into concrete outcomes with clear Acceptance Criteria.
• Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to foster a high-performance culture.
• Success in managing complex relationships with diverse stakeholders, including customers, executive leadership, and engineering.
• Understanding of how complex mainframe applications are composed across Enterprise COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, VSAM, and Endevor (preferred).
• Experience guiding development of modern developer interfaces like VS Code extensions, CLI tools, and CI/CD pipelines (preferred).
