The Systems Engineering Intern joins the team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. In this role, the individual will perform operational analysis, develop concept of operations, and create design and implementation plans. Daily responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases, conducting tests while documenting results, and analyzing systems requirements from end users. The position requires utilizing software tools, scripting, and performing software and hardware troubleshooting to communicate design activity plans to internal and external customers. Key technical skills and competencies include systems engineering, systems architecture, systems analysis and design, system performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering. Candidates may also utilize Rhapsody. The work focuses on solving complex technical challenges within the defense technology sector across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and various users.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Ability to obtain a security clearance (must be a U.S. citizen).
Experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, or project management (preferred).
Familiarity with model-based systems engineering (preferred).
