The Systems Engineering Intern joins the team to support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures. This role involves performing operational analysis, developing concept of operations, and creating design and implementation plans. The intern will develop test plans, procedures, and cases while conducting tests and documenting results. Daily responsibilities include analyzing systems requirements from end users, utilizing software tools for scripting, and performing software and hardware troubleshooting. To communicate progress, the individual will deliver presentations regarding design activity plans to internal and external customers. Key technical competencies include systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering. The role may also involve using Rhapsody. This position focuses on solving complex system design challenges within a defense technology context.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end systems and users.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering (preferred).
