The Systems Engineering Intern joins a team focused on developing and evaluating complex system designs and architectures. In this role, you will perform operational analysis to develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans while analyzing systems requirements from end users and systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing test plans, procedures, and cases, conducting tests, documenting results, and troubleshooting software and hardware issues. You will also deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers. The role requires skills in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering. Candidates should be familiar with Rhapsody and utilize scripting and various software tools. This position addresses technical challenges within the defense technology sector across space, air, land, sea, and cyber domains.
Perform operational analysis and develop concept of operations, design, and implementation plans.
Develop test plans, procedures, and specific test cases.
Conduct system tests and document the resulting data.
Utilize software tools, scripting, and hardware/software troubleshooting techniques.
Analyze system requirements from end users and systems.
Support the development and evaluation of complex system designs and architectures.
Deliver presentations to communicate design activity plans and status to internal and external customers.
What we're looking for
Must be pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics, Aviation, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
Must be a U.S. citizen to obtain a security clearance.
Coursework and/or experience in systems engineering, architecture, analysis, design, performance modeling, integration, project management, and model-based systems engineering (preferred).
