Systems Engineering Associate, GovCloud

What you'll do

• Detect and resolve production incidents within minutes to maintain cloud service availability.
• Monitor the constant health of supporting systems to ensure top performance of customer-facing services.
• Act in key support roles during major incidents and participate in technical reviews for problem management.
• Populate and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports for the Global Solutions team.
• Automate the detection and resolution of recurring issues in the production environment.
• Create and improve processes to reduce operations and engineering toil.
• Perform destructive testing and game day exercises to secure data and improve resiliency.
• Ensure all site reliability work complies with internal company policies and directives.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship.
• Must possess an active TS/SCI with polygraph security clearance.
• Must have a related technical degree.
• Must have systems engineering experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or a support role.
• Must have expertise in TCP/IP related technologies and CLI enterprise support of Unix variants (Linux/Solaris/BSD).
• Must have experience in Incident Management and a good understanding of ITIL service operations.
• Must have experience provisioning and operating AWS/C2S based infrastructure and systems.
• Must have experience writing scripts in Python, Go, or other languages.
