SRE Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Monitor customer-facing services and respond to Severity 0 and Severity 1 incidents.
• Lead technical reviews and contribute to root cause analyses for production issues.
• Automate the detection and resolution of recurring production issues to reduce manual work.
• Contribute to compliance, resiliency, and self-healing initiatives through destructive testing and drills.
• Provision and operate Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.
• Write scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages to support system operations.
• Mentor teammates to stay current on industry technology and drive team development.

What we're looking for

• You must be a U.S. citizen (born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship.
• You must have an active TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• You must be able to complete a U.S. federal government Minimum Background Investigation (MBI).
• You must have experience in enterprise-scale internet service engineering or support.
• You must have hands-on experience using the command line on Unix variants, including Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• You must have experience with TCP/IP networking technologies and protocols.
• You must have experience with incident management in a 24/7 environment.
• You must write scripts in Python, Go, or similar languages and have experience provisioning and operating AWS infrastructure.
• You should have a solid understanding of ITIL service operations (preferred).
• You should have experience with configuration management tools like Chef or Puppet and pipeline tools like Jenkins, Bamboo, or Spinnaker (preferred).
• You should have hands-on experience supporting and managing Kubernetes-based applications and services (preferred).
• You should hold certifications in Linux+, Red Hat, or AWS (preferred).
• You should be familiar with Agile processes and DevOps practices (preferred).
