What you'll do

Oversee all technical aspects of radio network projects from proposal award until final system acceptance.
Design and implement radio networks including infrastructure, power systems, tower layouts, and backhaul networks.
Conduct radio coverage testing and perform interference mitigation for public safety communication systems.
Develop acceptance test plans and conduct functional testing for mission-critical communications equipment.
Manage radio system licensing processes with agencies such as the FCC and NTIA.
Create technical documentation including fleetmaps, encryption templates, and "as-built" system records.
Execute live system cutovers and upgrades for government and public safety customers.
Present complex technical information to non-technical audiences and end-user customers.

What we're looking for

Must possess a Bachelor's degree.
Must have 3+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications.
Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by state and local government agencies.
Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.
Experience with radio communication systems, propagation, RF, wireless, or broadband/LTE networks is required.
Knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) is required.
Must possess or be able to pursue certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, or CCNA.
Excellent communication skills are required to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences.
