Systems Engineer

What you'll do

• Own end-to-end system design and technical quality for mission-critical digital land mobile radio networks.
• Design radio networks including infrastructure, power systems, tower layouts, and backhaul microwave or Ethernet networks.
• Develop acceptance test plans and conduct functional acceptance testing for public safety systems.
• Perform radio coverage testing and implement interference mitigation strategies.
• Participate in radio system licensing processes with the FCC, Industry Canada, and NTIA.
• Produce as-built system documentation, fleetmaps, encryption, and radio programming templates.
• Develop plans and execute live system cutovers and upgrades for government and public safety customers.
• Present complex technical topics and project updates to non-technical audiences and end-users.

What we're looking for

• The candidate must reside in AZ or NM.
• Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications experience are required.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
• Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by State and local government agencies or customers.
• Experience in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, or broadband/LTE networks is required.
• Experience and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting are required.
• Possession or ability to pursue CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA, or similar certifications is required.
• Previous experience with Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, or Ceragon equipment is preferred.
