As a Systems Engineer 6 - Chemical Engineering within the Etch Product Group System Engineering team, you will drive the architecture, requirements, and integration of complex semiconductor process modules. You will serve as the primary expert for chemistry, materials compatibility, and chemical risk to support Gas Delivery product development and new chemistry introductions. Your daily responsibilities include evaluating how process gases and fluids impact performance and safety, translating chemical behaviors into engineering specifications, and leading investigations into corrosion or material degradation. You will utilize expertise in physical chemistry, thermodynamics, reaction analysis, and failure analysis to resolve technical risks and customer escalations. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will influence design decisions for wafer fabrication equipment while developing verification plans and mentoring others on systems engineering practices related to risk assessment and root-cause analysis.

What we're looking for
Must have an M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline with 12+ years of industry experience.
Must have a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related discipline with 8+ years of industry experience.
Demonstrated expertise in material compatibility, chemical risk assessment, corrosion science, and failure analysis.
Strong foundation in physical chemistry, thermodynamics, chemical reaction analysis, and materials behavior.
Experience translating chemical, materials, gas safety, and regulatory considerations into engineering requirements and verification strategies.
Proven track record of solving complex multidisciplinary technical problems and influencing decisions across engineering organizations.
