Systems Dev Engineer, Environmental Testing

What you'll do

• Convert test plans and hardware specifications into automated scripts to execute test cases and record results.
• Develop and manage automated test sequences using frameworks like TestStand or Robot Framework.
• Design test cases for functional, performance, and stress testing in hardware systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues in test scripts, hardware setups, and hardware-software integrations.
• Implement manufacturing process controls, including statistical process control and mistake-proofing techniques.
• Analyze production and test data to identify and implement quality control measures and capacity improvements.
• Interface with test equipment using hardware communication protocols like SPI, I2C, RS232, and Ethernet.
• Perform production development testing and resolve technical blockers on the manufacturing shop floor.

What we're looking for

• Must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or granted asylum.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, computer science, or a related field.
• 2+ years experience developing and executing test plans for complex aerospace, automotive, or consumer electronics systems.
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, or Rust.
• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
• Experience with test automation frameworks like TestStand, Robot Framework, or similar tools.
• Experience in development of test plans and protocols related to established Space Hardware test processes (GEVS / SMC-S-016) (preferred).
