Environmental Test Engineer

What you'll do

• Serve as the primary owner for a specific class of environmental test equipment, managing its configuration, maintenance, and calibration.
• Provide technical leadership to troubleshoot equipment issues from initial response through root cause analysis and corrective action.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors for equipment service, spare parts, upgrades, and technical escalations.
• Establish standardized test processes and work instructions to enable technicians to operate equipment with minimal supervision.
• Train and mentor technicians on equipment operation while maintaining accurate technical documentation.
• Analyze test data to validate procedures and lead projects that increase throughput and improve first-pass yield.
• Triage errors in LabVIEW and Python code and diagnose equipment behavior using knowledge of industrial control loops.

What we're looking for

• Candidates must be a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, or lawfully admitted as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in complex work environments including robotics, automation, diagnostic, and test equipment.
• Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication.
• Knowledge of industry standard test automation tools and experience developing product test frameworks.
• Experience in reliability/maintenance environments or experience communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Master's degree or above in engineering or equivalent (preferred).
