JOB TITLE: System Integration & Test Engineer, Amazon Leo for Government (ALG), SEIT
The System Integration & Test Engineer joins the ALG Engineering Systems Engineering, Integration, Test, and Manufacturing organization to support the development of a Low Earth Orbit interconnected satellite communication constellation. This role involves designing, building, and validating test systems for complex space and terrestrial applications, including the satellite bus, RF payloads, optical payloads, and custom ground terminals. You will develop test procedures, software, scripts, APIs, and automation for SoC calibration, electronics data analysis, and environmental testing. Key technical requirements include proficiency in C, C++, Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, and Rust on Linux platforms. You will also utilize standard electronic lab equipment like network analyzers and oscilloscopes to ensure system performance meets requirements for government and international customers within a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary engineering environment.
Develop the architecture and execute the design, build, and validation of test systems for complex satellite and ground subsystems.
Specify and develop end-to-end integration and test plans to validate performance against customer and partner requirements.
Create test algorithms, scripts, automation, and calibration routines for lab and field evaluations of integrated payloads and buses.
Architect and validate test software and hardware for mechanical, optical, and electrical support equipment.
Analyze system and software test data to provide proactive feedback on product performance and potential improvements.
Prepare reports documenting test results, coverage, and key performance indicator metrics for developers and managers.
Manage and track test anomalies, defects, and bugs to closure while performing root-cause analysis in production environments.
What we're looking for
Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance of TS/SCI.
Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or equivalent.
8+ years of experience in space vehicle, bus, RF payload, optical payload, or ground terminal integration and test.
8+ years of experience developing space or communication system test requirements, plans, and procedures for system and software design verification and validation.
6+ years of experience developing code in C, C++, Matlab, LabVIEW, Python, Docker, and Rust on Linux platforms.
5+ years of experience building complex test systems including integrating test software.
5+ years of experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment such as network analyzers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analyzers.
