Software I&T Engineer , Amazon Leo for Government works within the Amazon Leo for Government Engineering team to develop software tooling and frameworks for integration testing in system lab environments. This role sits at the intersection of software engineering and systems verification, where you will architect reusable test platforms, automation frameworks, and infrastructure-as-code to accelerate the validation of complex hardware and software systems. You will be responsible for designing test algorithms, scripts, and data visualization tools while managing CI/CD integrated tooling in hardware-in-the-loop environments. Design and develop test automation frameworks and CI/CD integrated tooling for hardware-in-the-loop environments.
Architect software tools including test algorithms, scripts, calibration routines, and data visualization for complex systems.
Establish best practices for automation, observability, and infrastructure-as-code across the lab engineering organization.
Analyze test data to evaluate product performance and provide proactive feedback to partners and customers.
Prepare reports documenting test results, coverage, and key performance indicators for developers and management.
Debug, root-cause, and resolve test anomalies and defects in high-rate production environments.
Identify gaps in test infrastructure and implement solutions while balancing speed and long-term maintainability.
Mentor junior engineers on software development practices, code quality, and automation design patterns.
What we're looking for
Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience.
2+ years of experience in design or architecture of new and existing systems including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience.
1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded, or distributed software applications using C#, C++, Java, or Perl.
1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience.
Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
