The Supply Chain Hardware Developer Intern 2027 will join the hardware development team to build, test, and provide customer support for hardware, firmware, and semiconductors. This role involves developing cutting-edge microprocessors and hardware for infrastructure including zSystems, Power Systems, Storage, and Quantum Systems. Key responsibilities include logic design and verification, physical design, signal integrity analysis, microelectronics packaging, and thermal testing. Candidates should possess knowledge of computer hardware architectures like FPGAs, RISC-V, ARM, and MIPS. Required technical skills include programming in C/C++, Python, or Java, and hardware description languages like VHDL and Verilog. The role also utilizes circuit simulation tools such as SPICE. This position addresses the technical challenges of driving the quantum revolution and the AI era through advanced hardware engineering.
Perform logic (RTL) design and verification for hardware components.
Conduct physical design, analog, and IO design for microprocessors and semiconductors.
Execute signal integrity, power integrity, and thermal analysis and testing.
Perform processor and system characterization and validation.
Develop and test firmware architecture and perform failure analysis.
Provide technical support for hardware, firmware, and semiconductors to customers.
Analyze product quality, specifications, and performance modeling.
What we're looking for
High School Diploma/GED.
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Optics Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related majors.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.

At least three months of computer or electrical engineering experience of designing or manufacturing hardware products (preferred).
