As a Strategy & Transformation Advisor (Enterprise Commerce Architecture), you will join the Strategy and Transformation team as a senior strategic advisor for complex enterprise commerce pursuits in AMER. In this pre-sales role, you will partner with internal teams to help large customers define how Stripe fits into their future-state architecture across systems like order management, ERP, CRM, loyalty, and fulfillment. You will lead executive discovery workshops, translate business goals into multi-phase transformation roadmaps, and provide technical advisory on API-first integration, distributed systems, and event-driven architecture. You will engage with C-suite stakeholders to solve problems involving international expansion, omnichannel commerce, and subscription transformations. Key competencies include expertise in enterprise architecture, payment infrastructure, data flows, and the ability to translate complex technical decisions into clear business value for large-scale organizations across retail, fintech, and marketplace sectors.
Lead executive discovery and architecture workshops for strategic enterprise prospects to define future-state commerce systems.
Analyze customer technology landscapes to determine how Stripe fits into ERP, CRM, and fulfillment infrastructures.
Translate business goals like international expansion and cost optimization into technical architecture and operating models.
Create multi-phase transformation roadmaps that connect Stripe’s capabilities to measurable business outcomes.
Act as a peer advisor to C-suite and executive stakeholders to build confidence in complex enterprise transitions.
Provide high-level architectural guidance and technical coaching to internal engineering and sales teams.
Develop reusable architecture frameworks, reference patterns, and workshop methods to improve team effectiveness.
Identify emerging commerce trends and feedback loops to inform Stripe’s product roadmap and corporate strategy.
What we're looking for
12+ years of experience in enterprise architecture, technology strategy, digital transformation, management consulting, or senior technical advisory roles.
Significant experience advising large enterprises on complex technology transformations involving commerce, payments, financial systems, or customer-facing platforms.
Demonstrated ability to engage credibly with C-suite and vice president-level business and technical leaders.
Deep understanding of enterprise commerce architecture including order management, ERP, CRM, loyalty, identity, fulfillment, and cloud data platforms.
Strong knowledge of API-first integration, distributed systems, event-driven architecture, cloud platforms, and enterprise operational models.
Working knowledge of payments and financial infrastructure, including settlement, reconciliation, fraud/risk, compliance, and multi-party payment models.
Ability to translate complex technical decisions into business outcomes such as revenue growth, cost optimization, and operational efficiency.
Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills for presenting architecture decisions to executive audiences.
