What you'll do

Develop deep cross-platform expertise in Alkami's demo tooling across all product lines.
Partner with Sales Engineers to identify pain points and gaps in current demo tools.
Design, build, and maintain next-generation demo tooling using AI-assisted development.
Act as a technical closer by addressing complex API, SDK, and integration questions during active deals.
Identify product limitations and design pragmatic workarounds while feeding field signals back to the product team.
Coach and upskill Sales Engineers on technical positioning and objection handling.
Quantify the role's impact on win rates by tracking outcomes and reporting recurring technical gaps.
Model and champion AI-assisted development workflows across the entire Sales Engineering organization.

What we're looking for

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
6–10 years of experience in solutions engineering or software development roles.
Hands-on experience building tools, prototypes, or internal platforms against APIs, SDKs, or extensibility frameworks.
Proficiency in modern languages like JavaScript/TypeScript or Python to build front-end and back-end tooling independently.
Deep knowledge of API and SDK design, authentication, and extensibility frameworks for technical audiences.
Genuine fluency with AI-assisted development tools and workflows to accelerate building and iteration.
Working proficiency in SQL and relational databases to construct and troubleshoot complex queries.
Experience in digital banking or financial services platforms (preferred); experience building on an SDK or extensibility framework (preferred).
