Staff System Analyst - GM Defense IT

What you'll do

• Lead complex cross-functional initiatives supporting GM Defense's engineering and business priorities.
• Define needs and deliver scalable solutions by partnering with various stakeholders including IT security and legal teams.
• Analyze business processes and system requirements to translate them into actionable solution designs.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, providing guidance on project risks, dependencies, and compliance issues.
• Design and execute testing protocols to validate system performance and ensure compliance with standards.
• Influence adoption of new processes and tools across multiple stakeholder groups for continuous improvement.

What we're looking for

• 10+ years of experience as a systems analyst or related IT/business transformation role.
• Proven leadership in managing large, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders.
• Experience working in regulated environments such as defense or aerospace industries.
• Ability to pass vetting required for U.S. government defense contracts.
• Understanding and application of government cybersecurity frameworks like CMMC and NIST SP 800-171.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to influence decisions and gain alignment.
• Experience in gathering requirements, conducting data analysis, and driving solution design.
