What you'll do

Translate complex business needs into functional and technical requirements and product backlogs for software engineering teams.
Lead major cross-functional initiatives to support GM Defense business and engineering priorities.
Create detailed system design specifications, including data models, process flows, and integration maps.
Research and evaluate software and hardware options to determine the most suitable technology solutions.
Design and execute testing protocols to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with standards.
Analyze complex business processes to drive improvements in system capabilities and operational methods.
Partner with security, legal, and export compliance teams to maintain secure and compliant system environments.
Serve as a subject matter expert to provide guidance and coaching to project teams and business leaders.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a systems analyst, business systems analyst, or in a related IT/business transformation role.
Experience in regulated or government-contract environments such as defense or aerospace.
Proven experience leading large, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Experience gathering requirements, conducting data analysis, and driving solution designs and execution.
Demonstrated ability to work across business and technical teams to implement system or process improvements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and gain alignment.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to export control restrictions.
