Staff System Analyst - GM Defense IT The Staff System Analyst joins the GM Defense IT team to lead complex business and technology initiatives supporting Manufacturing, Customer Care & Aftersales, SAP, and Vehicle Engineering. What you'll do

Translate complex business needs and stakeholder requirements into functional specifications and technical product backlogs.
Lead large-scale cross-functional initiatives to support manufacturing, supply chain, and vehicle engineering priorities.
Create detailed system design specifications including data models, process flows, and integration maps for software teams.
Research and evaluate hardware and software options to determine the best technology solutions for organizational needs.
Design and execute testing protocols to validate system performance, reliability, and compliance with government standards.
Ensure all systems comply with IT security, export controls, and federal regulations like CMMC or NIST.
Serve as a subject matter expert to provide guidance on complex technical inquiries and process improvements.
Mentor and coach team members to develop their capabilities in system analysis and project execution.

What we're looking for

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience as a systems analyst, business systems analyst, or in related IT/business transformation roles.
Experience working in regulated or government-contract environments such as defense or aerospace.
Proven experience leading large, complex initiatives with multiple stakeholders and dependencies.
Demonstrated ability to gather requirements, conduct data analysis, and drive solution designs and execution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence decisions and gain alignment.
Ability to coach less experienced team members and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) due to export control restrictions.
