JOB TITLE: Staff, Software Engineer
As a Staff, Software Engineer within the Growth Tech Marketplace organization, you will serve as a technical backbone for the cross-border commerce platform. You will lead the end-to-end technical design of cross-border trade systems, including seller onboarding, order orchestration, compliance, and payments infrastructure. Your daily responsibilities involve establishing reusable architectural patterns, defining coding standards, and managing SDLC compliance using SonarQube, Snyk, and Gatekeeper quality gates. You will also own non-functional requirements like SLOs, SLAs, and observability while mentoring senior engineers. The role requires expertise in distributed systems, microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes, GCP, and Azure. What we're looking for

Demonstrate deep experience designing and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems, microservices, and cloud-native platforms like Kubernetes or GCP/Azure.
Exhibit the ability to reason across multiple services to identify cross-cutting concerns like shared data models and API contracts.
Show a track record of driving technical alignment and building consensus across multiple squads without direct authority.
Possess working familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace challenges, including seller integrations, order lifecycles, and international compliance.
Maintain a strong orientation toward production quality, including owning SLOs, leading incident retrospectives, and building observability.
Hold a Master's degree in a related field and 2 years of software engineering experience (preferred).
