What we're looking for
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
Deep, hands-on experience designing and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems including microservices, event-driven architecture, and cloud-native platforms.
Ability to reason across multiple services to identify cross-cutting concerns like shared data models, consistency guarantees, and API contracts.
Track record of driving technical alignment across multiple squads and building consensus on engineering standards and architectural decisions.
Working familiarity with e-commerce or marketplace platform challenges including seller integrations, order lifecycle management, and international compliance.
Experience owning SLOs, leading incident retrospectives, and building observability into system designs.
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area and 2 years' experience in software engineering or related area (preferred).
Knowledge of implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards and assistive technologies (preferred).
