What you'll do

Design end-to-end technical architectures for cross-border trade systems including seller onboarding, order orchestration, and payments.
Establish reusable architectural patterns across multiple squads to ensure scalable, reliable, and observable global systems.
Define and enforce engineering standards for coding, testing practices, API design, and SDLC compliance.
Translate ambiguous business requirements into well-scoped, executable engineering plans in collaboration with product leadership.
Manage non-functional requirements including SLOs, SLAs, capacity planning, and incident response preparedness.
Mentor senior engineers and lead architecture working groups to foster a high-performance engineering culture.
Champion the adoption of AI-augmented development tools to increase team productivity across squads.

What we're looking for

Candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field and 4 years of software engineering experience.
Alternatively, candidates may qualify with 6 years of experience in software engineering or a related area.
Candidates with a Master’s degree in a related field and 2 years of experience are preferred.
Experience is required in designing and operating scalable, fault-tolerant distributed systems using microservices and event-driven architecture.
Proficiency with cloud-native platforms such as Kubernetes, GCP, or Azure is required.
Candidates must demonstrate the ability to lead technical alignment and influence multiple squads without direct authority.
Knowledge of e-commerce domains including order lifecycle management, multi-currency handling, and cross-border logistics is preferred.
Experience in production operations, including defining SLOs/SLAs and building observability into system designs, is required.
