What you'll do

Define and drive the technical vision and architecture for the global streaming data platform.
Lead the design of large-scale distributed systems to solve challenges in data delivery, consistency, and fault tolerance.
Identify and eliminate scalability bottlenecks to improve overall platform efficiency and modernization.
Establish technical strategies to optimize compute, storage, memory, and network utilization for cost and performance.
Architect resilient, multi-tenant infrastructure that supports diverse workloads with high throughput and low latency.
Build foundational platform capabilities including automation, observability, capacity management, and self-service tooling.
Provide technical leadership for complex, cross-organizational initiatives from initial strategy through production adoption.
Mentor senior engineers to foster technical depth and sound architectural judgment across the organization.

What we're looking for

10+ years of professional software engineering experience in large-scale distributed systems, infrastructure platforms, or data-intensive services.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or equivalent practical experience.
Deep understanding of distributed systems principles including consistency, replication, consensus, fault tolerance, and failure recovery.
Strong proficiency in one or more backend languages such as Java, Go, C++, Scala, Python, or Rust.
Proven experience architecting high-performance, highly available systems with stringent throughput, latency, and durability requirements.
Experience with large-scale data infrastructure, distributed messaging systems, or stream processing platforms.
Demonstrated track record of providing technical leadership for complex, multi-team engineering initiatives and mentoring senior engineers.
Advanced degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred).
