Staff Engineer Commercial Technologies Software Engineering

What you'll do

• Develop back-end solutions and front-end improvements to enhance customer experience and business value.
• Build and unit test new system functionalities based on technical specifications.
• Lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction.
• Present live demos of multi-million-dollar initiatives to senior leadership and stakeholders.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements using engineering principles.
• Enforce sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions.
• Resolve complex technical problems by identifying solution options and communicating actions to stakeholders.
• Mentor less experienced colleagues on technical tasks and projects.

What we're looking for

• A BA, BS, or equivalent experience in a related field is preferred.
• 4-8 years of experience is preferred.
• Experience developing applications in J2EE and Java Web services (Micro Service/Rest Service) is required.
• Experience with multiple development languages including Java, Angular, Spring Boot, and Google Cloud is required.
• Experience working in an Agile environment is required.
• Strong problem solving and communication skills are required to articulate issues and identify solutions.
• Ability to lead small to mid-sized technical initiatives and provide technical direction.
• Ability to work effectively within large, matrixed project teams.
